We’re delighted to provide a short stay, self-service dog kennel block for visitors to Highland Wildlife Park.
We have eight new kennels located just in front of the admissions cabins which are available for £15 per day. The kennels are open from 10am to one hour before the park closes.
Booking is essential. Please make sure to read the T&Cs before booking using the calendar below.

How it works
On arrival, please head straight to the ticket cabins to show your park tickets and kennel booking confirmation to our team on the gate and they’ll provide you with your lock, instructions and run through the instructions. You can then return to the kennels and settle your dog in for the day.
When using Highland Wildlife Bark please be aware that:
- During your dog’s stay in our kennels, we ask you to clean up fully after your dog, removing all poop and putting it in the bin provided. Spare dog poo bags are available by the kennel gate
- Your dog’s health and wellbeing is your responsibility for the full duration they are in the kennels. We do not do routine checks on the kennels and encourage to you check on your dog during your visit
- Water bowls and water are available, and you are welcome to leave food, toys and bedding for your dog
- Dogs must be on a lead at all times when not in a kennel
- You must not touch or interact with other dog’s using the kennels
- We reserve the right to request your dog is removed from Highland Wildlife Park if required
- Each kennel measures approximately 10 ft long by 4 ft wide. This includes both the indoor and outdoor run, with the indoor area measuring approximately 4 ft long.
FAQs
Can I put more than one dog in a kennel?
Yes. Each kennel is 4ft x 10ft and is suitable for medium to large breeds. Owners can choose to keep more than one dog together, provided they feel there is enough space for their dogs to be comfortable. We understand that some dogs may be more relaxed when kept together.
Can I keep my dog in my car instead?
No. Dogs are not permitted on site, with the exception of guide and assistance dogs, and this policy also applies to keeping dogs in cars or vans.
We are pleased to offer secure kennels for visitors travelling with dogs, providing a safe and comfortable option while you visit. We understand that kennels may not be suitable for every dog, so please consider whether this environment is right for your pet before visiting.
What do the kennels look like and how big are they?
The kennels are arranged in two blocks of four. Each kennel has a concrete outdoor run and an individual indoor bay with a rubber floor. The kennels are approximately 6–7ft high, with a solid, opaque rubber barrier between each one to provide privacy and reduce visual contact between dogs.
Is the cost per kennel or per dog?
The cost is per kennel, not per dog, so you can keep more than one dog in a kennel if you choose. A discount is available when booking two kennels in the same transaction.
