Highland Wildlife Bark terms and conditions
These terms and conditions apply to the Visitor Dog Kennels provided by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland's (RZSS) Highland Wildlife Park.
1. Owner Responsibility
The Visitor Dog Kennels are provided solely as a convenience for visitors. RZSS does not provide supervision, monitoring, feeding, watering, exercising, veterinary care, welfare checks or any other care services for dogs using the kennels
- The Owner accepts full responsibility for the health, welfare, safety, behaviour and wellbeing of their dog at all times whilst using the facility
- RZSS reserve the right to insist a dog is removed from site should they be in a state of ill health or deemed, by our standards, to be disruptive to our animals, visitors or staff
2. Health and Welfare
The Owner confirms that their dog:
- Is in good health and free from any contagious or infectious disease
- Is appropriately vaccinated in accordance with current veterinary recommendations
- Is fit to be housed in the kennel for the duration of the visit
- Is not on the list of banned breeds
The Owner is responsible for providing everything necessary for their dog's comfort and welfare, including adequate food, drinking water, bedding, blankets and any other required items. The Owner is responsible for calling for or accessing external veterinary aid if and as required for their dog.
3. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RZSS, its employees, volunteers and representatives accept no responsibility for any illness, injury, loss, theft, escape, distress, damage or death of a dog, nor for any belongings left with the dog, whilst the kennel is being used.
Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
In the event of your dog escaping the kennel compound, RZSS reserves the right to retrieve or control your dog as necessary. This includes lethal control if that is deemed necessary to safeguard our animals, visitors and staff.
The Owner is responsible for any damage to property or persons caused by their dog.
4. Cleanliness and Condition
RZSS is responsible for providing suitable temporary housing for dogs and to maintain and clean the facilities on a daily basis. The Owner agrees to leave the kennel in the same clean and tidy condition in which it was found and to remove all waste, food containers, bedding and personal belongings when vacating the kennel.
Highland Wildlife Park reserves the right to recover reasonable cleaning or repair costs resulting from excessive soiling, damage or misuse.
5. Acceptance
By using the Visitor Dog Kennels, the Owner confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these terms and accept full responsibility for their dog's welfare whilst using the facility.
