Conservation

Highland Wildlife Park is the gateway to the natural world and the attraction is home to several Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) conservation projects. From a hilltop not far from the snow leopards, you can view the ground-breaking Saving Wildcats Conservation Breeding for Release Centre, which serves as the base for the Saving Wildcats partnership, committed to releasing Scotland’s Highland tigers into the wild. Standing up for the little guys, the RZSS team based at the park are also leading a project to reinforce populations of vital pollinators, like the pine hoverfly.
