Advanced Higher Biology Projects

Are you studying Advanced Higher Biology?

Did you know that you can apply to complete your investigation at Edinburgh Zoo and Highland Wildlife Park?

Where?

Students can come to conduct a behavioural research study on some of our endangered species here at the Highland Wildlife Park (please note this does not involve any ‘hands on’ experience).

How?

Students can apply for a place by clicking on the application form below and sending it to: Advanced Higher Investigations, Discovery and Learning Dept, RZSS Edinburgh Zoo, EH12 6TS or email to education@rzss.org.uk

If successful in applying, students will attend a one day induction that will teach them the basics of studying animal behaviour and how to go about starting their Advanced Higher Investigation at the park. The student’s biology teacher is also welcome and encouraged to attend where possible.

When?

Our 2015 intake is complete. Please watch this space for 2016 opportunities.

Cost

The cost is £20 which gives the student a research pass, enabling them to come into the park as many times as their project requires.

Application form

Applications for 2016 intake will open in May.

*Please note: student places are popular but limited so please do take time to complete your application form.
